แต่เดิมคนไทยรับศาสนkพุทธและศาสนkฮินดูมาหร้อมๆกันผ่านการค้าโดยเรือสำเภา

จากอินเดีย พระในพุทธศาสนาและนักบวชในศาสนาฮินดูเดินทางมาพร้อมกันในสำเภาลำเดียวกัน

มาเผยแพร่ศาสนาในดินแดนสุวรรณภูมิแถบประเทศไทยนี้

ศาสนาพุทธเป็นศาสนาแบบ อเทวะนิยม คือไม่สนใจว่ามีพระเจ้าเป็นผู้สร้างโลกหรือไม่

ชาวพุทธสนใจแต่เพียงว่า เราจะมีความสุขในปัจจุบันและในอนาคตตลอดกาลได้อย่างไรมากกว่า

หลายคนที่เดินทางมาเที่ยวที่ประเทศไทยเพียงคนเดียว(ผู้หญิงท่องเที่ยวโดยลำพัง)เพราะมั่นใจว่า ประเทศไทยปลอดภัยมากพอที่จะมาท่องเที่ยวคนเดียวได้
